In my music video I will carefully plan the mise-en-scene to communicate the tone and atmosphere I am aiming for in the video. Mise-en-scene is the stage design and arrangement of actors in scenes for a theatre or film production, both in visual arts through storyboarding, visual theme, and cinematography, and in narrative storytelling through direction. The four aspects of Mise-En-Scene I will plan are Props, Location, Lighting, and costume.
Props- Fake knife used for stabbing scene; Push Bikes and Electric Scooters;
Locations- Park/shops, housing estate, long alley ways (Brambleside, Kettering) all locations used as common areas for crime and young people to be.
Lighting- Underneith lamppost in alley way, a lot of scenes in the dark (eerie feel to the video)
Costume- Tracksuits, masks.
